We know a lot of our transfer applicants are anxiously awaiting decisions and lots of have actually the questions that are same! We hear you and hope this FAQ will assist as you wait to know from us.
When will I find out my decision?
All transfer students whom applied to USC for fall 2015 admission will be notified of either a determination, or an ask for additional information by June 1. We have been in the process of making decisions, so some pupils have heard back from us while many have actually not. Just because you haven’t heard from our office yet does not always mean it is good or bad news there are nevertheless 2-3 weeks until June 1 and we are making our way through all the applications.
What does a Spring Grade Request mean?
For some learning students, we aren’t able to create a decision aided by the information we now have. We may request to see your final spring grades to help us in creating a choice. In the event that you received a springtime grade request, please send us your grades as soon as they are available. Various schools finish at different times, and so the faster you can deliver us your grades, the faster we are able to get an admission choice back.
We have been mindful that numerous semester system schools finish in May and quarter that is many in June. Our admission counselors are conscious of this timeline, and we shall be accommodating to each individual college, but once again, usually do not delay in sending us your grades if we asked for them.
If I’m admitted, when will I find out which of my classes transfer to USC?
Students who are admitted and enroll at USC will receive a Transfer Credit Report (TCR) that details classes that will transfer and which requirements are being met. These reports are available three to six weeks after students submits their commitment deposit, so we receive complete and official transcripts of all college work, and formal exam scores. Pupils will receive a contact notification when the TCR is available to see at my.usc.edu.
Think about Financial Aid?
If you met all deadlines and eligibility requirements and immediately submitted any additional documents the school funding Office requested, you can expect to be notified of your financial aid within 7 business days after you have been admitted to USC. You can monitor your award status online at My Financial Aid & Documents (https://www.usc.edu/admission/fa/my_fa/index.html).
While all students sent applications for the Fall 2015 semester, some students could be admitted towards the Spring 2016 semester. This allows us to accommodate more students. We encourage students to carry on using courses either at their institution that is current or college. If you should be admitted to the Spring semester and now have questions in what to do within the fall, you can contact your admission counselor for more information.
